Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a senior Zero Trust Lead (Network) to drive policy, standards, and cross-tower integration for a federal program. The role blends hands-on network engineering with strategic design across identity, device posture, and security domains, reporting to senior leadership and coordinating with IAM, Endpoint, and Cloud teams.

The position requires extensive enterprise networking experience, strong leadership, and hands-on capability with Cisco, Palo Alto, Zscaler, and Aruba

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on enterprise network engineering and operations.
• Zero Trust: design, implementation, and operationalization across identity, device posture, network and cloud.
• ITIL-based incident/change management and ServiceNow experience.

Responsibilities

• Own Zero Trust strategy and cross-tower integration model across identity, device, network, cloud, and security domains.
• Provide hands-on network engineering and troubleshooting alongside Network Operations engineers.
• Lead Zero Trust requirements for firewall controls and identity-aware enforcement across ZIA/ZPA, NAC, and related controls.
• Define integration requirements for identity-aware access, segmentation, and posture enforcement across security platforms.
• Coordinate across teams to ensure Zero Trust changes follow ERB/CCB processes and post-change validation.
• Maintain and improve Zero Trust architecture documentation and runbooks.
