Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a senior Zero Trust Lead (Network) to drive the Zero Trust strategy across identity, device, network, cloud, and security domains. The role combines hands-on network engineering with strategic design leadership and cross-tower coordination.

You will define policy intent and standards, lead architecture reviews, and ensure capabilities are tested and production-ready while working with Network Operations and cybersecurity teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on enterprise network engineering/operations.
• Experience leading design, implementation, and operation of Zero Trust.
• Leadership in cross-functional enterprise initiatives and ITIL/ServiceNow familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Own Zero Trust strategy and cross-tower integration model across identity, network, and security domains.
• Provide hands-on network engineering support with Network Operations; ensure production readiness.
• Define Zero Trust requirements for firewall controls (Palo Alto) and Zscaler integrations; lead troubleshooting as needed.
• Coordinate Zero Trust dependencies across IT teams and maintain comprehensive documentation.
