Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a senior Zero Trust Lead (Network) to define policy intent, standards, and roadmaps across identity, device posture, network, cloud, and security domains. You will lead cross-tower design and ensure capabilities are tested, documented, and production-ready while performing hands-on network engineering with the Network Operations team.

Role requires strong enterprise networking expertise, leadership across multiple teams, and experience with Palo Alto, Zscaler, Aruba ClearPass,

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on enterprise network engineering/operations experience across routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, and secure access technologies.
• Experience leading Zero Trust design, implementation, and operationalization across identity, device posture, network access, segmentation, and cloud/security controls.
• Strong leadership with ability to drive technical decisions and roadmaps, including ITIL-based incident/change management and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Own Zero Trust strategy and cross-tower integration model across identity, device posture, network, cloud, and security domains.
• Provide hands-on network operations support: installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of Cisco routing/switching and LAN/WAN services.
• Define and lead Zero Trust integration requirements for firewall controls and for ZIA/ZPA and Client Connector; support hands-on engineering as needed.
• Define Zero Trust requirements for Aruba wireless and ClearPass NAC including posture enforcement and segmentation.
• Advance Zero Trust principles: least privilege, identity-aware access, continuous monitoring, and integration with policy controls.
