Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a senior Zero Trust Lead (Network) in a hybrid Washington, DC location. The role oversees policy intent, standards, and roadmaps for enterprise Zero Trust across identity, device posture, network, and cloud.

You will lead cross‑tower design and ensure production readiness while performing hands‑on network engineering alongside the Network Operations team. The ideal candidate has senior experience in enterprise networking, Zero Trust implementations, and ITIL/ServiceNow

Qualifications

• Senior‑level hands‑on enterprise network engineering/operations experience across routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, and secure access technologies.
• Zero Trust design, implementation, and operationalization across identity, device posture, network, segmentation, cloud/security controls.
• Leadership and governance, ownership of enterprise technical initiatives, cross‑functional leadership, ITIL/ServiceNow familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Own Zero Trust strategy and cross‑tower integration model across identity, device posture, network, cloud, and security domains.
• Provide hands‑on operations support with Network Operations engineers, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Cisco routing/switching and LAN/WAN services.
• Define and lead Zero Trust integration requirements for firewall controls (Palo Alto) and for ZIA/ZPA and Client Connector.
• Define Zero Trust requirements for Aruba ClearPass NAC and secure access with identity‑aware posture enforcement.
• Advance Zero Trust principles: no implicit trust, identity‑aware access, least privilege, segmentation, continuous monitoring.
