Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to support installation, testing, and implementation of new z/OS operating systems and related software. You will monitor, tune, and maintain system software, with emphasis on z/OS components, tape management, security, and JES2 customization.

The role requires deep z/OS expertise, strong problem-solving, and collaboration across teams. On-call duties and vendor communications are part of the job. Remote/hybrid options are noted by Ensono.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years z/OS mainframe experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E
• Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL
• USS file system management and security
• Strong teamwork and communication at management level
• Stress resistance in major incidents or emergencies
• Initiative and learning abilities

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call schedule
• Resolve incidents and problems related to z/OS and tools
