Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – z/OS to join our United States team. The role focuses on installing, testing, and implementing new z/OS operating systems and system software.

You will maintain and tune system software, manage PARMLIB and JES2 configurations, and support complex z/OS environments. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in mainframe environments, strong TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL skills, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of mainframe experience in a large enterprise.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS and related products (z/OS, SMP/E, JES2).
• Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL.
• Unix System Services (USS) experience and security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call schedule.
• Resolve incidents and problems related to z/OS and tools.
• Configure and customize system software and parameters.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on projects.
• Support PARMLIB configuration and JES2 customization.
