Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to support the installation, testing, and deployment of z/OS and related system software. You will handle maintenance, tuning, and vendor coordination, with a focus on z/OS components and tape management tools. This role is remote-friendly within the United States.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in a mainframe environment, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong analytical, teamwork, and communication skills. On-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a mainframe environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Deep knowledge of z/OS and installation/maintenance
• Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL
• USS file system management and security
• Team collaboration and strong communication
• Stress resistance for major incidents

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call schedule
• Incident / problem resolution
• z/OS and tools configuration and customization
• Setup of parameters and JES2 customization

• Contribute to technical projects
