Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to lead installation, testing, and deployment of z/OS and system software. You’ll maintain and tune z/OS environments, manage PARMLIB/JES2, and collaborate on complex projects.

Strong problem-solving, analytical abilities, and teamwork are essential for success in this on-site/remote role. You will need 10+ years in mainframe, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, and SMP/E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10+ years in a mainframe environment within a large enterprise.
• Knowledge of z/OS installation and SMP/E maintenance.
• Experience with TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL.
• Familiarity with Unix System Services (USS) and USS file systems.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to handle major incidents and stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call schedule.
• Incident / problem resolution for z/OS and related tools.
• Configuration, customization, and parameter setup.
• Vendor communications and project participation.
• Support solving problems and implementing changes in z/OS environments.
• Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL and related products.
• Maintain solid analytical and written communication skills.
