Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to lead the installation, testing, and implementation of new z/OS operating systems and system software. You will maintain and tune z/OS components, with strong emphasis on tape management, security, and monitoring tools.

The role requires expert knowledge of z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL, plus solid communication and teamwork abilities. Remote-friendly and focused on enterprise-scale mainframe environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience within a mainframe environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of z/OS and z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E.
• Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL.
• Working knowledge of Unix System Services (USS).
• Ability to work well as a team member.
• Stress resistant in major incidents or emergencies.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Customer service at management level.
• Self-m motiviation and proactivity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call schedule.
• Incident and problem resolution.
• Manage z/OS and related tools configurations and customizations.
• Setup parameters and JES2 tuning.
• Communicate with vendors as needed.
