Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to lead installation, testing, and implementation of new z/OS operating systems and related system software. The role includes on-call support, incident resolution, and tuning of mainframe environments.

You will bring 10+ years in a large enterprise mainframe, deep z/OS knowledge, and strong collaboration skills. The position offers remote work options within the United States and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in a mainframe environment within a large enterprise.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS installation and SMP/E.
• Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL.
• Unix System Services (USS) knowledge including file system management and security.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and implement new z/OS operating systems and system software.
• Maintain and debug system software; tune performance.
• Handle incidents, changes, and problem resolution.
• Configure parameters and coordinate with vendors.
• Contribute to technical projects and on-call rotation.
