Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to lead installation, testing, and maintenance of z/OS operating systems. You will troubleshoot, tune, and support system software and related products, including tape management, scheduling, and security tools.

Strong analytical skills and written/verbal communication are essential. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in a mainframe environment, a bachelor’s degree, and deep knowledge of z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a large mainframe environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E
• Experience with TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL
• Unix System Services knowledge helpful
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure on incidents and emergencies

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call schedule
• Resolve incidents and problems related to z/OS and tools
• Configure and customize system parameters
• Coordinate with vendors for issues and changes
• Contribute to technical projects and improvements
• Support z/OS environments including PARMLIB and JES2
• Maintain solid understanding of z/OS and related product software
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication
• Show analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Plan and organize work effectively
• Show initiative and quick learning abilities
