Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to lead installation, testing, and maintenance of z/OS environments. You will configure PARMLIB, JES2, and related product software, perform tuning, and support incident resolution across mainframe platforms.

The role requires 10+ years in a mainframe environment, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL knowledge. You will participate in on-call rotations and collaborate with teams to drive system reliability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mainframe experience in a large enterprise
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of z/OS installation and SMP/E
• Solid experience with TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL
• USS file systems and security
• Ability to work in a team and handle incidents
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Participate in On-call Schedule.
• Incident / Problem resolution
• z/OS & Tools your main tasks are related to:
• Incident, change and problem handling.
• Configuration and customization.
• Setup of parameters.
• Communication with vendors.
• Participation/contribution to technical projects.
• Solid understanding of z/OS and related product software z/OS.
• PARMLIB configuration and JES2 customization.
• Ability to support in solving problems and implementing changes on z/OS environments.
• Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Unix System Services (USS)
• Knowledgeable in z/OS security.
• Understand z/OS services structure, Parallel Sysplex, Catalog management.
