Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to install, test, and implement new z/OS systems and related software. You will handle maintenance, tuning, and problem resolution on large enterprise mainframe environments, including PARMLIB, JES2, and z/OS components, with strong TSO/ISPF and JCL skills.

The role is remote within the United States, with on-call responsibilities and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a mainframe environment within a large enterprise.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL.
• Unix System Services (USS) familiarity and security concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and implement new z/OS operating systems and system software.
• Maintain and debug system software; monitor and tune performance.
• Configure PARMLIB and JES2; manage z/OS components and related products.
• Handle incident, change, and problem resolution; participate in technical projects.
• Communicate with vendors; support in solving problems on z/OS environments.
