Job summary

Compass is seeking a Workplace Operations & Facilities Lead to be the backbone of our office environments in California. You will oversee complex facilities issues, manage vendor relationships, and streamline resources to support employees and agents, maintaining a world-class workspace.

You will lead budgeting and logistics, coordinate with property managers and landlords, and ensure compliant invoicing and documentation across regional teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in workplace operations, facilities management, or high-level hospitality.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly resolve facilities issues.
• Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized for data and vendor management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for collaborating with regional leaders and property managers.
• Experience with enterprise software such as Zendesk, Salesforce, or Confluence is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 25–30% and work onsite full-time.

Responsibilities

• Resolve vendor repair and maintenance facilities issues.
• Communicate with Property Managers and Landlords for repairs.
• Manage utility accounts and quarterly reporting.
• Lead Keycard Inventory Management and security support, including access control systems.
• Oversee copier/postage fleet leases, invoicing, end-of-lease obligations, and escalations.
• Ensure invoice compliance through PO creation and credit card reconciliation.
• Maintain vendor data, fixed expenses and contracts.
• Approve high-value punchout orders per policy.
• Collaborate with regional partners on onboarding office leaders and training.
