Job summary

Holmes Murphy is seeking a Sr. Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist, Supervisor, to join Creative Risk Solutions.

The ideal candidate brings jurisdictional experience across multiple states and will provide high‑quality claims handling oversight for litigated and complex claims, guiding staff in investigation, communication, evaluation, and resolution. You will help set goals, mentor staff, and ensure engagement while adhering to CRS best practices.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred. Technical designations encouraged, such as AIC and CPCU.
• Experience: 5+ years of adjusting property and casualty claims, including litigated claims. Supervisory experience preferred.
• Licensing: Active state workers compensation license or ability to acquire within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate claims, investigate, and negotiate settlements per Best Practices for Claims.
• Monitor claim files focusing on coverage, investigation, reserves, and medical management.
• Research and respond to questions and complaints from insureds and claimants.
• Discuss complex claims with clients and address inquiries.
• Maintain communication with customers and fronting carriers per guidelines.
• Assist staff in managing litigation claims and protecting insured and carrier interests.
• Provide oversight and coaching to staff; conduct performance reviews and set goals.
• Coordinate training and standardize processes for quality service.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly performance meetings; monitor annual goals.
• Mediate between insured and insurer; analyze performance data for changes.
