Job summary

Holmes Murphy is seeking a Sr. Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist, Supervisor to join the Creative Risk Solutions team.

The role requires jurisdictional experience in multiple states and provides oversight for litigated and complex claims, guiding staff in investigating, communicating, evaluating, and resolving claims following CRS Best Practices. The position emphasizes leadership, engagement, and career development within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• 5+ years adjusting property & casualty claims, including litigated claims.
• Active state Workers' Compensation license required or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Strong knowledge of general & auto liability or workers' comp coverages and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate claims during staffing shortages, investigate, and negotiate settlements per Best Practices.
• Monitor and document claim files across coverage, investigation, reserves, and legal aspects.
• Research and respond to questions and complaints from insureds, claimants, agency partners, and fronting carriers.
• Discuss complex claims and coverage issues with clients and address inquiries.
• Maintain communication with customers and fronting carriers per CRS guidelines.
• Assist staff in managing litigation claims, ensuring timely responses and protecting interests.
