Job summary

Holmes Murphy is seeking a Sr. Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist, Supervisor to join the Creative Risk Solutions team in Wisconsin. The role requires jurisdictional experience across multiple states and focuses on high-quality claims handling, oversight, and staff development.

Responsibilities include adjudicating claims, monitoring files, guiding staff, and coordinating with clients and carriers on complex cases. A strong supervisory background and licensure in workers comp are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of adjusting property and casualty claims, including litigated claims.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Active state Workers Compensation License or ability to acquire within 3 months.
• Strong knowledge of General and Auto Liability or Workers Compensation coverages.
• Ability to learn multiple state insurance regulations and pass licensing exams.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate claims during staffing shortages, investigate, and negotiate settlements per Best Practices.
• Monitor and document claim files across coverage, investigations, reserves, action plans, legal and medical management.
• Research and respond to questions from insureds, claimants, agency partners, and fronting carriers.
• Discuss complex claims and coverage issues with clients and address inquiries.
• Maintain communication with customers and fronting carriers per CRS guidelines.
• Assist staff in managing litigation claims and ensure timely responses.
