Job summary

Holmes Murphy & Associates is seeking a Sr. Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist, Supervisor (Remote) to lead a claims team in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee litigated and complex claims, guide staff on best practices, and ensure timely, accurate results for clients across multiple states. The role requires 5+ years in property/casualty claims with supervision experience, active state WC licensing, and strong knowledge of state regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of adjusting property and casualty claims, including litigated claims.
• Active state Workers’ Compensation license or ability to acquire within 3 months.
• Strong knowledge of multiple state workers' compensation regulations and practices.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate claims during staffing shortages, investigate, and negotiate settlements.
• Monitor and document claim files focusing on reserves, action plans, and medical management.
• Lead and coach team members; conduct performance reviews and set goals.
• Facilitate regular team meetings and coordinate standardized processes for quality service.
• Mediate between insured and insurer; review files periodically and manage litigation claims.
