SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Underwriter to lead underwriting and renewal decisions for a wide range of policies. You will build risk models, gather information from agents and clients, and ensure compliance with regulations.

The role emphasizes strategic partnerships, documentation, and ongoing market monitoring, with travel as needed and remote work across eligible states.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or related field or equivalent experience.

• Leads the evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
• Develops and implements advanced risk assessment models to make informed decisions on coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Fosters strategic partnerships with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients to obtain necessary information and provide guidance.
• Procures and analyzes supplementary reports such as motor vehicle reports, loss history reports, and external inspections to support underwriting decisions.
• Ensures proper documentation of underwriting decisions and compliance with state and federal insurance regulations.
• Evaluates complex policy renewals and modifications, identifying opportunities for policy enhancements and risk mitigation.
• Communicates underwriting strategies and decisions effectively to internal teams, agents, and brokers.
• Monitors and shares insights on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions.
• Maintains relationships with customers and coworkers to generate new business and retain profitable business.
• Monitors and evaluates underwriting practices, assisting with strategic adjustments to improve outcomes.
• May supervise staff and participate in talent decisions.
