Job summary

SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business, develop risk assessment models, and guide terms and pricing in collaboration with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients.

The role requires extensive underwriting experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work remotely from allowed states within the U.S. You will help ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to long-term partner relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 13 years of underwriting or related experience.
• Professional designations encouraged (AU, CPCU, CIC, INS, ARM).

Responsibilities

• Leads the evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
• Develops and implements advanced risk assessment models to inform coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Fosters strategic partnerships with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients to obtain necessary information and provide guidance.
• Ensures proper documentation of underwriting decisions and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Education

Bachelor0Degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or related field
