Job summary

SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced underwriter to evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business remotely across multiple states. You will develop risk assessment models, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain professional relationships with agents, brokers, and clients.

The role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, with potential for staff coaching and travel as needed. Remote work is available in participating states, including GA and DC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Generally, a minimum of 13 years of experience in Underwriting or related field.
• Professional designations such as AU, CPCU, CIC, INS or ARM are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business in line with guidelines and risk appetite.
• Develops advanced risk assessment models for coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Fosters partnerships with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients to obtain information and guidance.
