SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced underwriter to evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and risk appetite. You will develop advanced risk assessment models and collaborate with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients to gather information and provide guidance.

The role requires 13+ years in underwriting, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work remotely across designated states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance or related field.
• Minimum of 13 years in underwriting or related field.
• Expert analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced negotiation and decision-making ability.
• Familiarity with marketing strategies and tools is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Leads evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business.
• Develops and implements advanced risk assessment models for coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Fosters partnerships with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients for information and guidance.
• Procures and analyzes motor vehicle reports, loss history reports, and external inspections.
• Ensures proper documentation of underwriting decisions and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluates complex policy renewals and modifications for enhancements and risk mitigation.
• Communicates underwriting strategies to internal teams, agents, and brokers.
• Monitors industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions.
• Maintains relationships with customers and coworkers to generate and retain business.
• Monitors underwriting practices and implements strategic adjustments.
• May supervise staff and participate in talent decisions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Role may require travel; remote work across specific states.
