Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a highly capable Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment with an estimated end date of October 9, 2026. The role can be in-office or remote, with work from anywhere in the United States.

You will adjudicate indemnity workers' compensation claims of higher technical complexity for our customers in the states of SC and VA. As a temporary assignment, government-mandated benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in the SC and VA jurisdictions.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required. Two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience beyond the minimum may substitute for a degree.
• SC license required at start of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate highly complex indemnity workers' compensation claims on assignments reflecting potentially significant impact on department results.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly.
• Analyze claims forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions, and other records to determine coverage.
• Preparing reports for file documentation and to management.
• Negotiating settlements and managing claims in litigation.
• Accurately recording hours worked and submitting timesheets; overtime may be required.
