Argo Group is seeking a highly capable Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment with an estimated end date of October 9, 2026. Work from anywhere in the United States or in-office.

The role handles highly complex indemnity workers' compensation claims for SC and VA, with government-mandated benefits only for this assignment. Qualified candidates will have at least five years' experience, a Bachelor's degree, a SC license, and strong negotiation and communication

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in the SC and VA jurisdictions.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may be substituted for the degree.
• SC license required at start of assignment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate highly complex indemnity workers' compensation claims.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly.
• Prepare reports for file documentation and report trends to senior management.
• Negotiate settlements and manage claims in litigation.
• Record hours and ensure timely task completion.
