Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a highly capable Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment with an estimated end date of October 9, 2026. The candidate will adjudicate highly complex indemnity claims for customers in SC and VA, while working from anywhere in the United States.

As a contingent worker, you will log hours accurately and be ready to work overtime as needed. This role emphasizes strong claim management, negotiation skills, and effective communication with insured

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in the SC and VA jurisdictions.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• SC license required at start of assignment.
• Must have good business acumen and understand how an insurance company works and makes money.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate highly complex indemnity workers' compensation claims on assignments.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly, including interviewing involved parties.
• Analyze claims forms, policies, and endorsements to determine coverage.
• Prepare reports for file documentation and manage diary tasks for timely resolution.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate with insured, claimant, and other parties.
• Record hours worked and comply with timesheet policies; overtime as required.
