Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership across data center wireless systems, including DAS, LMR, Wi-Fi, and Private LTE/5G. You will guide design reviews, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients, carriers, and BIM teams.

The role supports multiple projects nationwide with a hybrid office/remote schedule and a focus on delivering compliant, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution.
10+/- years' experience designing wireless systems including LMR, DAS, Wi-Fi, and Private LTE/5G.
Experience reviewing RF modeling tools (iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner).
Experience as technical lead or SME with Fortune 50 clients.

Responsibilities

Review wireless system designs in iBwave and EDX.
Provide technical leadership and oversight for wireless designs.
Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
Coordinate with AHJs, Radio System Owners, and Carriers.
Create/modify DIV 27 specifications and review engineering deliverables.
Conduct site visits and punch walks; support commissioning and testing.
Develop and maintain wireless design standards and best practices.
Mentor engineers and project leads; manage stakeholder relationships.
Support proposals and responses to RFPs/RFIs; evaluate new wireless technologies.
