Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership across projects involving data center buildings, DAS, LMR, Wi-Fi, and Private LTE/5G systems. You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients and carriers in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

The role requires extensive RF design expertise, advanced knowledge of iBwave/EDX/Atoll, and the ability to guide teams through site visits, standards development, and RFP

Qualifications

• Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+/- years' experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems (LMR, DAS, Wi-Fi, Private LTE/5G).
• 10+/- years' experience with reviewing iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner or similar RF modeling tools.
• Experience as technical lead or SME.
• Experience with clients to identify wireless needs and coordinating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve wireless designs in iBwave and EDX.
• Provide technical leadership for wireless designs.
• Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
• Coordinate with AHJs, system owners, and carriers.
• Develop and modify DIV 27 specs.
• Conduct site visits and punch walks.
• Review technical documents and deliverables.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Maintain wireless design standards and best practices.
• Mentor engineers and project leads.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and responses to RFPs/RFIs.
• Evaluate emerging wireless technologies and proposed solutions.
