Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership across data-center related wireless systems including DAS, Wi‑Fi, Private LTE/5G, and related RF designs. You’ll guide design reviews, coordinate with BIM, AHJs, and carriers, and mentor engineers on complex RF challenges.
The role supports multiple projects nationwide with a hybrid work policy; base salary ranges from $130k to $170k, with competitive benefits and bonus potential based on
Qualifications
- 10+ years actively designing wireless telecommunications systems (LMR, Public Safety DAS, Commercial DAS, Wi‑Fi).
- Experience reviewing iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner or similar RF tools.
- Experience as technical lead or SME.
- Experience with client engagement to identify wireless needs.
Responsibilities
- Review wireless designs in iBwave and EDX; provide technical leadership.
- Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages; coordinate with AHJs and carriers.
- Develop wireless design standards and best practices; support commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Mentor engineers and project leads; manage stakeholder relationships; assist in RFP/RFI responses.
