Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical leadership across multiple projects. You will guide the design process for data center buildings, DAS, LMR, Wi‑Fi, and Private LTE/5G systems, coordinating with cross‑discipline teams and stakeholders.

The role requires extensive experience in RF design and compliance, with a track record of leading engineering teams, reviewing designs, and supporting proposals. Hybrid work model across US locations.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years designing wireless telecommunications systems including LMR, DAS, Wi-Fi, Private LTE/5G.
• 10+ years reviewing iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner.
• Experience as a technical lead or SME.

Responsibilities

• Review wireless systems designs in iBwave and EDX.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for wireless designs.
• Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
• Coordinate with AHJs, Radio System Owners, and Carriers.
• Develop and modify DIV 27 specifications.
• Conduct site visits and punch walks.
• Review technical documents and engineering deliverables.
• Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and maintain wireless design standards and best practices.
• Mentor engineers and project leads; manage stakeholder relationships.
• Support proposals and responses to RFPs/RFIs.
• Evaluate emerging wireless technologies for suitable solutions.
