Job summary

Speechify is seeking a senior Windows desktop engineer to shape the Windows experience across WinUI, C#, and C++. You will own architecture, UI, and performance for our native apps on Windows 10/11.

Collaborate with designers, QA, and product teams to deliver accessible, high-quality software. You will mentor engineers, drive technical decisions, and help chart a long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop development with Windows App SDK and WinUI.
• Strong understanding of .NET and native interop.
• Proven track record shipping production desktop apps with reliability.
• Experience with accessibility APIs and inclusive software.
• Solid fundamentals in OOP, patterns, data structures, and multi-threading.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and development of Windows desktop apps.
• Define best practices for code architecture, performance, and cross-version compatibility.
• Drive accessibility integration and validation for UI controls and navigation.
• Collaborate with product/design/QA to shape UI/UX and roadmap.
• Own features end-to-end from conception to maintenance.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs and performance bottlenecks.
