Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is hiring a Wellness Coach Level III to build personalized relationships with members and support signature wellness programs. You will monitor the wellness center, ensure safety standards, and coordinate trainings and certifications within 60 days of hire.

A strong background in fitness, current personal training certification, and excellent customer service are essential. You will be responsible for maintaining member engagement, managing a defined caseload,

Qualifications

Must hold and maintain a current National Personal Training certification from recognized bodies (ACSM, ACE, AFAA, ISSA, NASM, NSCA, etc.).
Knowledge of fitness-related issues including aerobic vs anaerobic exercise and injury prevention.
Must demonstrate use of wellness-related equipment and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

Monitor wellness center floor and assist members, enforcing policies.
Clean, maintain, and check equipment; report repairs as needed.
Complete required trainings within specified timelines (Coach Approach, YUSA courses, BLS).
Maintain incident/accident paperwork and participate in staff trainings and meetings.
Manage a personal training load and maintain member caseload per shift requirements.
