Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Wellness Coach Level III at the Cowart Family Ashford Dunwoody YMCA to support members through our signature wellness programs. You will build personalized relationships and help members achieve their health goals on the wellness floor.

You will monitor the wellness center, maintain equipment, and complete required national and Y-USA certifications within 60 days of hire. Strong customer service and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge of advanced weightlifting and health/wellness concepts; able to demonstrate equipment use.
• Knowledge of fitness issues including nutrition, injury prevention, and exercise principles.
• Must hold a current National Personal Training certification from ACSM/ACE/AFAA/NASM and others.
• Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, and basic database tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily program tasks on the wellness floor.
• Monitor the wellness center floor and assist members while enforcing policies.
• Maintain and check equipment; report repairs as needed.
• Complete required Y-USA and Metro Atlanta certifications within 60 days of hire.
• Maintain incident/accident paperwork and report as required.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; participate in wellness cabinet activities.
• Manage a caseload of active members in The Coach Approach; assist with training sessions.
