Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Wellness Coach Level III to build personalized member relationships and support wellness programs on site at the McCleskey East Cobb YMCA. You will supervise the wellness floor, ensure safety standards, and deliver high-quality service to members and participants.

You must maintain national certifications, complete required Y-USA trainings within 60 days of hire, and manage a defined member caseload while collaborating with the Wellness Cabinet and staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a current National Personal Training certification from listed bodies.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in exercise science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of fitness-related issues including nutrition and injury prevention.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with members.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wellness center floor and assist members while enforcing policies.
• Maintain and check equipment; report repairs.
• Promote and ensure wellness programs run smoothly with high service quality.
• Complete required trainings within stated timelines (Coach Approach, YUSA courses, BLS).
• Maintain certifications and report incidents/accidents.
• Manage personal training load and member caseload as specified.
