Job summary

MCGARITY CONSULTING GROUP is seeking a senior accessibility tester for a contingent federal program. The role is remote and activates only after project award and a contingent commitment letter is signed.

The position requires DHS Trusted Tester Level 5 certification and deep knowledge of Section 508 standards. You will conduct conformance testing of ICT and documents, remediate issues in Word/PowerPoint/Excel/PDF, and advise product teams on fixes and how to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Must hold DHS Trusted Tester Level 5 certification.
• Broad knowledge of the Revised Section 508 Standards.
• At least two years of accessibility testing experience.
• At least two years testing and remediating documents for Section 508.

Responsibilities

• Test Section 508 conformance of ICT using DHS testing process and produce test reports.
• Remediate documents (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF) per Section 508 tests for documents.
• Develop accessibility test plans and advise teams on fixes and preventive practices.
• Provide technical assistance during evaluation of Accessibility Conformance Reports and VPATs.
• Support accessibility training and Trusted Tester certification exams.
