Job summary

Team Carney, Inc. is seeking a trusted tester to serve as a technical authority for Section 508 accessibility testing and document remediation across ICT environments.

In this full-time remote role, you will conduct DHS Trusted Tester web evaluations, remediate Office and PDF documents, review VPATs/ACRs, and guide project teams on complex 508 defects while supporting accessibility training and certification preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 4+ years of ICT experience.
• 2+ years of web accessibility testing with DHS Trusted Tester.
• 2+ years of testing and remediating documents to Section 508.
• Proficiency with DHS Trusted Tester v5.0+ and reporting tools.
• Strong knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Experience evaluating VPATs/ACRs during product acquisitions.
• Ability to develop accessibility test plans and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Perform standardized web accessibility evaluations using DHS Trusted Tester v5.0+.
• Remediate Office and PDF documents to meet Section 508 standards.
• Evaluate VPATs and ACRs for product acquisitions.
• Develop comprehensive accessibility test plans.
• Provide guidance for training and DHS Trusted Tester certification exams.
