Job summary

Team Carney is seeking a Trusted Tester - Level II (Web Tester & Document Remediation) to serve as a technical authority for Section 508 accessibility testing across ICT environments. This full-time, remote position supports a federal client and DHS Trusted Tester processes.

The role requires DHS Trusted Tester v5.0 certification, a bachelor’s degree, and several years of ICT and accessibility testing experience, including document remediation in Office and PDF formats.

Qualifications

• Active DHS Trusted Tester Version 5.0 (or later) Certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 4+ years of ICT experience.
• 2+ years of web accessibility testing with DHS Trusted Tester.
• 2+ years remediating documents (Office, PDF) to Section 508.
• Experience using Section 508 tests for documents (VPAT/ACR).

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for Section 508 accessibility testing.
• Perform web accessibility evaluations using DHS Trusted Tester v5.0 process.
• Remediate documents in Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF to 508 standards.
• Evaluate VPATs/ACRs for product acquisitions.
• Develop accessibility test plans and advise project teams on remediation.
• Mentor candidates for DHS Trusted Tester certification.
