Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget for assigned water/wastewater projects. This role requires strong leadership, client interaction, and coordination across subconsultants and staff.

You will develop plans, manage resources, and ensure quality and profitability while mentoring team members and supporting practice leaders with marketing proposals.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of Water/Wastewater project design and management experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitors schedules, budgets, accounts receivable and manpower requirements and prepares invoices.
• Develop Project Management plans for assigned projects
• Establish project pricing and budgets
• Create and maintain project schedules
• Develop and maintain project specific quality plans
• Develop and coordinate project scope
• Manage subconsultants
• Participate in client presentations
• Oversee and manage assigned staff working on project
• Manage all technical resources on the project team
• Development of extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals
• Coordinate and assist Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposals
• Providing coaching and mentorship to the project team through one-on-one check-in meetings and various project debriefs to acknowledge achievements, identify areas for improvement, and share lessons learned
• Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of teams
• Perform other related duties as assigned
