Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks a senior project manager in New York to lead water and wastewater design projects. You will drive scope, schedule, budget, and risk management while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and client communications.

The role requires a PE license, CAPM or PMP, and a track record of delivering complex projects for local clients at the county/state level. Strong leadership and proposal support experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineering License.
• 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater project design and management.
• CAPM or PMP certification.
• Experience with multiple project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3).
• Experience managing multidiscipline project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manages project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborates with disciplines and subconsultants to define a project scope and fee.
• Develops project management plans and quality management plans.
• Creates and maintains project schedules.
• Coordinates and manages subconsultants.
• Monitors progress, identifies risks, and proposes change orders.
• Communicates project status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Participates in project financial status meetings and prepares progress reports.
• Leads in project status updates and client/partner presentations.
• Mentors team members and supports performance development.
