Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC seeks a Senior Superintendent for the Clark Water Group to lead field operations on water/wastewater projects. You will oversee self-performed and contracted work, ensure compliance with contracts and schedules, and drive a culture of safety and quality.

You will manage planning, sequencing, logistics, and KPI reporting while mentoring a high-performing team and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience
• 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater projects with a general contractor or equivalent industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility
• 4+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams
• Experience building water/wastewater projects from start to finish
• In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel
• Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively across multiple audiences and stakeholders
• Advanced knowledge of applicable safety and building regulations (OSHA)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the timely and quality installation of contracted work for the full project or a specific scope
• Implement a culture of safety and quality among Clark employees and trade contractors and conduct regular safety inspections
• Create and manage a plan to sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel
• Ensure high quality of work consistent with project and company standards
• Takes initiative to deliver a project on schedule and on budget
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule and milestones to stakeholders
• Communicate the schedule effectively with contractors and lead multi-disciplinary meetings
• Manage, mentor, and develop team members to build a high functioning team
• Cultivate strong relationships with all project stakeholders
• Maintain professionalism in internal and external meetings and interactions
• Possess working knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements
• Participate in development and maintenance of staff charts, general conditions, project costs, and KPI insights
• Participate in closeout activities including punch lists and building operations training
• Demonstrate advanced problem-solving to overcome obstacles and risks
• Create a project site environment that inspires the team
• Lead and attract diverse talent, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture
• Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate and win work
• Take an active role in recruiting top talent for Clark
• Exceed stakeholders’ expectations by anticipating needs and goals
