Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on water and wastewater projects. You will oversee self-performed and contracted work, ensure compliance with contract documents and schedule, and foster a culture of safety and quality on active job sites.

The role requires 7+ years in large-scale commercial construction, experience with water/wastewater plants, and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience.
• 7+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Experience building water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
• 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.
• Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively across multiple audiences.
• Working knowledge of safety and building regulations (OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely and quality installation of contracted work for total project or scope, trade contractor, or portion of a project.
• Instill a culture of safety and quality among Clark employees and trade contractors; conduct regular safety inspections.
• Create and manage plans to sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel.
• Ensure high quality of work in line with project and company standards.
• Deliver projects on schedule and on budget.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule with stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-functioning team.
• Maintain professional relationships with project stakeholders.
• Understand owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
• Contribute to staffing, costs, and KPI management; participate in close-out activities.
