Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer for a senior role in northern New Jersey. The position focuses on the design of water and wastewater facilities, with hybrid work in Parsippany or Sparta.

Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience, a PE or near licensure, and strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations and EPA/SDWA standards. Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 plus discretionary year-end bonus, with generous benefits and two office locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, storage facilities, and distribution and collection systems to standards.
• Feasibility and planning studies including hydraulic, process and environmental evaluations under EPA and NJDEP guidelines.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, cost estimates and contract documents.
• Lead regulatory coordination for NJPDES permits and other approvals.
• Conduct site investigations and coordinate cross-disciplinary work with other engineering groups.
• Mentor junior staff on technical work and design procedures.
