Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Business Group Professional Services Director to provide executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice. The role aligns technical disciplines, strengthens delivery capabilities, and promotes best practices across HDR’s global architecture marketplace.

Reporting to the WBG President, you will guide risk management, continuous improvement, and collaboration with operations, marketing, and technology leadership to position

Qualifications

• 15+ years in professional services leadership or delivery management.
• Experience leading large-scale programs and diverse technical teams.
• Strong governance, QA/QC, and risk management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and align technical practice groups across the matrix organization.
• Drive delivery excellence through QA/QC and standardization of processes.
• Mentor future leaders and foster collaboration across regions and disciplines.
• Oversee staff development, hiring, and resource balancing for the WBG.
• Partner with project delivery services to support program success.
• Advance delivery strategies and technology adoption across the group.
