Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Business Group Professional Services Director to lead technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice. You will align matrixed practice groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, and set standards to improve performance and client outcomes.

Reporting to the WBG President, you will mentor teams, drive delivery innovations, and partner with operations and leadership to position HDR as a global leader in water infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in leading technical teams and practices.
• Maintain professional engineering registration (P.E.).
• Extensive history in professional services, program/project delivery on large-scale programs.
• Proven ability to mentor diverse teams and collaborate with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice across the WBG.
• Align practice groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, and advance standards and best practices.
• Partner with operations, market sectors, and leaders to improve productivity and service delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement through QA/QC programs and risk management.
• Support staffing, recruiting, and development of key staff within the group.
• Engage with clients and partners to position HDR as a leader in water infrastructure.
