Job summary

The City of Houston seeks a Senior Division Manager for the Houston Water/Drinking Water division, based at 2700 Dalton St, Houston, TX. You will lead the Distribution System Maintenance and Operations Section, oversee service investigations, leak detection, valve operations, mains, hydrants, and preventative maintenance, and drive improvements.

Strong leadership, communication, and data-driven strategy are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Eight (8) years of progressive professional experience in related activities are required, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage staff within the Distribution System Maintenance and Operations Section.
• Oversee water service investigations, leak detection, valve operations, and repairs to mains, service lines, hydrants and valves.
• Develop strategies for process improvement using data analysis and metrics.
• Develop, monitor and approve budgets in line with approvals.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
