Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a distribution center operator to perform material handling across inbound, outbound, returns, and related operations. You will use RF scanners and WMS to move items, maintain accuracy, and follow safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include processing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and supporting training in assigned areas. This role emphasizes reliability, organization, and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Maintain a safe work environment, including lifting and handling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, sort, stock, pick, pack, stage, and ship merchandise accurately and efficiently.
• Match item numbers, quantities, manifests, freight bills, and shipping documentation with physical merchandise.
• Process inbound shipments, outbound orders, returns, and vendor returns per policy.
• Operate RF scanners, WMS, voice-picking systems and related warehouse tech.
• Store and retrieve merchandise from floor locations and shelving systems.
• Load/unload trailers and route trucks, ensuring items are secure.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through scanning, labeling, auditing and discrepancy resolution.
• Rebox/relabel/sort merchandise for shipment or inventory placement.
• Follow hazardous material handling and safety procedures.
• Maintain productivity and safety standards and keep areas clean.
