Job summary

U.S. Venture seeks a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead a large facility's logistics, warehousing and inventory management. 80% of the role focuses on management, supervision of Supervisors, and ensuring safety and security of the building and products.

You will drive process improvements, coordinate staffing, develop personnel, and collaborate with HR, Sales, and vendors to meet customer needs. The role requires strong leadership and budgeting skills with a focus on efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business plus 2 years warehouse/operations or 6 years warehouse/operations experience
• Proven leadership in a supervisory warehouse, operational or related role
• Knowledgeable in material handling and inventory documentation

Responsibilities

• Measure and improve warehouse processes including inventory and transportation.
• Provide timely reports on the operating condition of the warehouse as required.
• Communicate issues, programs, decisions and actions to Regional manager and other leaders, and departments as required.
• Maintain Warehouse facilities including equipment and ensure clean and orderly premises.
• Develop and maintain productive business relations with vendors, suppliers and shippers.
• Provide leadership to assigned personnel through objective setting, delegation, and communication; conduct regular meetings on policy changes.
• Assign and coordinate personnel, scheduling to ensure workload is done efficiently and adequately staffed.
• Develop personnel; complete 30/60/90 day reviews; implement development plans as needed.
• Work with Human Resources to schedule interviews, hiring, training and managing issues.
• Proactively manage safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide monthly safety meetings; investigate accidents and take corrective action.
• Lead loss prevention efforts by maintaining security equipment.
• Partner with Sales to ensure field operations meet customer needs.
• Assist with strategic priorities, project management and process improvements.
• Manage acquisitions, warehouse moves and special projects.
• Plan and manage warehouse expenses to meet financial goals and policies.
• Motivate and train staff; monitor performance and progress.
• Oversee planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
• Prepare capital and operational budgets for facility.
• Determine efficient layout for smooth product flow in/out of warehouse.
• Promote goodwill and a positive image of the Company.
