Job summary

U.S. AutoForce is seeking a seasoned Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee logistics, warehousing and inventory for a large facility, with 80% management duties. You will lead Supervisors and Office Staff, drive safety and security, and optimize processes across the warehouse.

Responsibilities include measuring performance, reporting, coordinating with regional leadership, managing budgets, and developing staff while maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business plus 2 years warehouse/operations experience OR 6 years warehouse/operations experience
• Proven leadership skills in a supervisory warehouse/operational role
• Knowledgeable in material handling and inventory documentation
• Knowledge of budgeting, supply contracts and shipping requirements
• Excellent math, accounting and financial interpretation skills
• Effective communicator to a wide range of people at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Strong ability to build and maintain customer and supplier relationships
• Ability to project a positive image to customers
• Knowledge in applicable computer software (MS Office)
• Strong problem solving skills
• Willing to travel nationally as required
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record

Responsibilities

• Oversees measurement and effectiveness of warehouse processes (inventory, transportation, customer service)
• Provides timely, accurate reports on warehouse operation
• Communicates issues and actions to regional manager and leaders
• Maintains warehouse facilities and equipment
• Develops relationships with vendors, suppliers and shippers
• Leads assigned personnel through objective setting, delegation and communication
• Manages staffing and scheduling for workloads
• Develops staff through feedback and development plans
• Coordinates HR activities (interviews, training)
• Manages safety programs for compliance
• Conducts safety meetings and investigates incidents
• Leads loss prevention efforts and security
• Partners with Sales to meet customer needs
• Contributes to strategic priorities and process improvements
• Manages acquisitions, moves and special projects
• Plans warehouse expenses to meet financial goals
• Motivates and trains staff; monitors performance
• Oversees vehicle and equipment maintenance
• Prepares capital and operating budgets
• Determines efficient warehouse layout
• Promotes goodwill and a positive company image
