Job summary

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, seeks an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee large facility logistics, warehousing and inventory management in Ohio.

You will lead Supervisors and Office Staff, enforce safety, and drive efficiency on 80% management duties. Responsibilities include measuring warehouse processes, reporting, coordinating with leadership, maintaining facilities, building vendor relations, and developing staff through reviews and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business
• Proven leadership in a supervisory warehouse/operational role
• Knowledgeable in material handling and inventory documentation
• Budgeting, contracts and shipping knowledge
• Strong math and financial interpretation skills
• Effective communicator across levels of an organization
• Willingness to travel nationally as required
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record

Responsibilities

• Oversee measurement and effectiveness of warehouse processes, including inventory, transportation, customer service and personnel.
• Provide timely, accurate reports on warehouse operating conditions as required.
• Communicate issues, programs, decisions and actions to Regional manager and other leaders.
• Maintain warehouse facilities and equipment and ensure clean, orderly premises.
• Develop and maintain productive relations with vendors, suppliers and shippers.
• Provide leadership through objective setting, delegation and regular staff meetings; enforce productivity standards.
• Coordinate scheduling to ensure workloads are met and shifts are adequately staffed.
• Develop warehouse personnel through 30/60/90 day reviews and development plans.
• Coordinate with Human Resources on interviews, training, and personnel issues.
• Proactively manage safety programs to ensure policy compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Lead safety meetings and investigate incidents to drive corrective actions.
• Support loss prevention by maintaining security equipment and secure facilities.
• Collaborate with Sales to meet field customer needs and drive service levels.
• Contribute to strategic priorities, project management and process improvement.
• Participate in acquisitions, warehouse moves and special projects.
• Plan and manage warehouse operating expenses to meet financial goals and policies.
• Motivate and train staff to achieve productivity targets; monitor performance.
• Oversee planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
• Prepare and manage capital and operating budgets for the facility.
• Determine efficient product flow layout for warehouse operations.
• Promote goodwill and a positive image of the Company.
