Job summary

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. seeks a VP, Senior Underwriting Manager for the E&S Property team in Atlanta. This role develops and coaches a regional underwriting staff, drives performance metrics, and sustains broker relationships while balancing a small production portfolio.

A hybrid work schedule supports travel and broker engagement as needed. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years in underwriting or related fields, plus 2+ years in people management and E&S Property

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years in underwriting, market facing, broker, carrier, or risk management in commercial insurance.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Experience in E&S Property.
• Strong knowledge of forms language and coverage intent.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coach and manage a high-performing regional Property underwriting team.
• Oversee regional performance: new business production, policy count retention, rate/tiering, and portfolio actions.
• Manage regional wholesale broker relationships and underwriter referrals.
• Maintain a small production portfolio to stay attuned to regional market changes.
