Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Senior VDC/BIM professional to oversee BIM operations across complex projects in the San Antonio area. Lead the VDC team, ensure standards alignment, and collaborate with project stakeholders to drive successful BIM implementation.

You will mentor staff, manage BIM tools and processes, and contribute to constructability reviews while maintaining safety and quality objectives on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in VDC or related field with minimum of 6 years of related experience or equivalent
• Reading, understanding, and interpreting contract docs, drawings, specs, scopes, and schedule
• Thorough knowledge of VDC tools and applications in construction, cost, scheduling, estimating, and coordination principles
• Proficient in MS Office and BIM tools; ability to communicate with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Oversee BIM field operations and engineering processes across multiple projects
• Advise on VDC objectives to align with Turner Digital Build standards
• Plan BIM tools and processes with VDC leadership and project team
• Develop and refine BIM implementation plans in line with contracts
• Provide QA on quantity variance reports for estimating and change management
• Mentor and lead VDC project team through planning and launch activities
• Contribute to constructability reviews using trade knowledge
• Communicate BIM changes and schedule impacts to project scheduling team
• Track VDC change orders and report progress to management
• Promote EH&S LIFE principles within BIM operations
• Ensure data confidentiality and integrity of BIM information
• Support quality requirements and project governance
